to Urumchi

Beijing- no problem with check-in; flight on time.
Customs and baggage were OK. Cindy from Abdullah’s company met us and took
us from the international arrivals terminal to the domestic for Southern
China Air. Laury went off to visit with a friend but did not know that
the flight to Urumchi was changed to a different airline in a separate
terminal but at the same time. We had five hours to kill. We had a
nervous time waiting for Laury to be brought from the other terminal to
the correct one with the rest of us. She was found by the local guides
and brought to the check-in counter in time. A four hour flight to
Urumchi and then to the hotel - tired and glad it all worked out.
